All ResearchWater products are intended exclusively for in-vitro laboratory research conducted by qualified scientific professionals. The information below describes the binding conditions of every purchase made through this site.

Every product offered by ResearchWater is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research carried out by qualified scientific professionals working in a properly equipped laboratory environment. Our products are not manufactured, packaged, labeled, or supplied for human or animal ingestion, injection, inhalation, infusion, topical application, ocular use, or any other route of administration to a living organism. They are not intended for clinical use, diagnostic procedures, veterinary medicine, compounding, food production, cosmetic applications, or therapeutic purposes of any kind.

References to laboratory techniques, instrumentation, or measurement on this site describe in-vitro experimental workflows only. No statement on this site, in any product listing, in any certificate of analysis, or in any customer-facing communication should be interpreted as a recommendation to use these products outside of a controlled laboratory research setting.

Statements made on this site regarding ResearchWater products have not been evaluated by the United States Food and Drug Administration or by any equivalent regulatory authority in any other jurisdiction. Our products are not drugs, dietary supplements, medical devices, biologics, or cosmetics within the meaning of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or medical condition in humans or animals.

Specifications, certificates of analysis, and supporting laboratory data are provided to characterize each lot for in-vitro research purposes only. They are not intended to support clinical, regulatory, or pharmaceutical use.

By placing an order with ResearchWater, the buyer represents and warrants that they are a qualified researcher, principal investigator, laboratory professional, or institutional purchasing agent acting on behalf of one of the foregoing. The buyer further represents that the products will be used solely for legitimate scientific research conducted in accordance with all applicable federal, state, local, and institutional laws, regulations, ordinances, and policies, including biosafety, hazardous-materials handling, and waste-disposal requirements.

The buyer is solely responsible for independently verifying the hazards, handling protocols, storage conditions, compatibility characteristics, and appropriate personal protective equipment associated with each product prior to use, and for maintaining a research environment with the controls, training, and oversight necessary for the safe and lawful use of laboratory reagents.

Buyers must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. By placing an order, the buyer affirms that they meet this minimum age requirement and that any individual receiving, opening, or handling the shipped products on the buyer's behalf is also at least twenty-one years of age. ResearchWater reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or void any order for which the buyer cannot reasonably substantiate compliance with this requirement.

The resale, redistribution, transfer, donation, or supply of ResearchWater products for the purpose of human or veterinary administration is strictly prohibited. This includes, without limitation, repackaging, relabeling, dispensing, compounding, or providing the product to any third party for ingestion, injection, topical application, or other administration to a person or animal.

Any such resale or redistribution constitutes a material breach of these terms and may also violate federal and state laws governing drugs, devices, and consumer products. The buyer agrees to indemnify ResearchWater for any loss, damage, expense, or liability arising from any prohibited downstream use.

ResearchWater never describes its products using words such as "treat," "cure," "patient," "dose," "therapy," or any other term implying clinical or therapeutic use. Customer-facing communications, including product pages, email correspondence, technical-support exchanges, and printed collateral, never reference human anatomy, physiological outcomes, body weight, body composition, symptoms, or biomarkers in a manner that would suggest administration to a living person or animal.

All applications referenced on this site are in-vitro laboratory workflows, including but not limited to high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), Western blot, cell-culture media preparation, buffer preparation, and reconstitution of lyophilized research compounds for in-vitro stability and binding studies.

At the point of purchase, every buyer is required to read and explicitly affirm the following acknowledgment before an order can be completed:

"I confirm that I am a qualified researcher or laboratory professional, that I am at least 21 years of age, and that all products purchased will be used exclusively for in-vitro research purposes and will not be administered to humans or animals."

This acknowledgment is recorded against the order, forms part of the binding agreement between the buyer and ResearchWater, and supplements the representations made elsewhere in our Terms of Service. Failure to affirm any element of this statement will result in the order being declined.
